Is the location available?
You can check our space availability on our CALENDAR and inquiry about dates through the BOOKING FORM.

How do I book the studio?
Once you're ready to book, fill out the BOOKING FORM. Please provide all necessary details, including the spaces you’d like to reserve.
Where can I find pricing information?
Our pricing is available on our PRICING SHEET. We use a Robin Hood rate structure—bigger shoots and events pay more, allowing smaller shoots, students, and passion projects to pay less.
Do you offer discounts for multi-day rentals?
Yes! We offer discounts for multi-day rentals, just ask us.
What is your cancellation policy?
Evil Empire Studios has a strict refund and cancellation policy, however we do understand that sometimes it is necessary to change a reservation and do offer the opportunity to reschedule within a 48 hour window. During the 48 hour modification period you may reschedule your booking without penalty based on availability. Only 1 rescheduling is allowed. The final amount due is to be paid before entering the studio. In the case of an emergency we have a 72 hr grace period where bookings can be fully refunded.
The Client(s) is responsible for verifying that Evil Empire Studios has received their date/time change request. We will make every effort to re-book your reservation but please note that new bookings will be based on availability.
Studio & General Information
What’s included in the studio rental?
The Dark Side Studio and Warehouse Studio are separate studios. The Dungeon and Tunnels are included in the Warehouse Studio rental.
Is the studio wheelchair friendly?
There is ramp access to get into the building and the bathrooms. We don’t currently have automatic door opens for the bathrooms yet.
Can I book for a private event?
We don’t host events that involve food service or alcohol, such as weddings or parties. Our space is a working warehouse with a co-working environment and no kitchen facilities, so we need to keep things clean and respectful for everyone using the space.
That said, we’re happy to accommodate certain types of gatherings like markets or corporate events, as long as they align with the nature of the space.
Do you have a green room space?
While we don’t have a dedicated green room, we do have a common area with a couch, some chairs and a table that many productions use as a green room alternative. We also have a separate studio (Dark Side Studio) that you can add on to your warehouse rental, which can be used for this purpose. There is a curtain separating this from the warehouse, but no closed door.
What is the studio’s capacity?
Based on our current facilities (4 washrooms), the studio’s maximum capacity is 140 guests. To increase capacity, you are able to rent additional washrooms (one per 20 guests is necessary), allowing us to accommodate up to 250 people at one time.
Is there WiFi available?
Yes. The information will be shared upon booking.

Parking & Access
What are the parking options?
There are 4 on-site parking spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need to reserve parking, let us know in advance. Additional paid parking is available across the street at Canada Wide Parking or City of Hamilton parking.
Can I park at the studio overnight?
Yes, overnight parking is allowed if you have the space booked across both days. Please note that the parking lot gate is closed overnight.
If you don’t have a continuous booking, feel free to reach out and we can check if overnight parking is available.
What are the conditions and costs for renting parking across the street?
It is a municipal lot operated by Canada Wide Parking. Posted rates are $7/day Monday–Friday, $3 evenings/overnight, and $3/day on weekends. In the past, location managers have contacted Canada Wide to negotiate exclusive sections and had an LSP pylon off a section for crew.

Payments
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes, you can pay by credit card. Please note that credit card processing fees are passed on to the customer so we can keep our base pricing as low as possible.
